School Rules and Regulations
All students are school ambassadors who play pivotal roles in upholding the tradition of excellence and display S.T.A.R. values in all areas of their school life.
(1) | ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE | Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist over the heart. |
Attendance at the Flat-raising ceremony is compulsory for all students. All students must stand at attention throughout the singing of the National Anthem, the School Song, and the recitation of the Pledge. | ||
(2) | GENERAL APPEARANCE AND SCHOOL ATTIRE | Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform. Any modification to the uniform is not allowed. Refer to Information on School Uniform on Page 18 & 19 of the student handbook. |
Students are to be properly and nearly attired at all times. | ||
(3) | PUNCTUALITY | Students must be punctual for school and all school activities. |
Flag-raising begins at 7.30 a.m. in the hall or classroom. All students should report to the hall or classrooms by 7.30 a.m. | ||
(4) | ATTENDANCE | Students are expected to attend school on school days. |
Absence from school must be covered with a Medical Certificate (MC) or a letter from the parent/guardian. Absence from a school examination must be covered wit a medical certificate that states that the student is unfit for the examination. Students’ Holistic Development Profile (HDP) report will be affected should the above-mentioned rules relating to attendance and punctuality are not adhered to. Students are not permitted to leave the school compound while waiting for after-school activities to commence. Students are strongly discouraged from taking leave before the school vacation period or during term time. |

(5) | MOBILE DEVICES IN SCHOOL | Students are not allowed to use mobile phones or other electronic devices in school. |
If they use the devices within the school premises without the permission of school staff, the devices will be confiscated. The confiscated items will only be returned to their parents/guardians in person. | ||
(6) | PROHIBITED ITEMS | Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon or weapon-like items which can be used to cause harm to others. |
Possession of such items is a serious offence. Disciplinary action will be taken for repeated offences. Students are not allowed to bring the following items to school - sharp pointed head scissors, pen knives, paper cutters, electronic toys, and games (unless instructed by teachers). |

(7) | GENERAL | Students are to handle all school equipment properly and return them in good working order and condition. |
Students should report immediately and accurately any malfunction, damages and losses. Any defacing of furniture or misuse of equipment in the classrooms is vandalism and will be considered a major disciplinary offence. | ||
(8) | PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT | Photographs or video images of students and their parents may be captured during school activities and events. The school may use and publish such photographs and/or video recordings in school publications, websites, social media channels, and other communication channels. Parents or guardians may approach the School General Office if they have concerns with the school using images of them or their child/ward. |
