Unstructured Recess Play (URP)

P3 & P4 Unstructured Recess Play (URP)

Mr Ng has articulated that schools could free up space for our pupils’ imagination to grow. Here in Punggol Primary School, we strongly embrace that and we want our pupils to enhance their Joy of Learning and foster the Entrepreneurial Dare spirit when they are in school. This year, we piloted a URP programme for our P3 and P4 pupils during recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively. Spaces are created for pupils to play, imagine or create with the equipment and resources provided under the supervision of our teachers. In this infant stage, from our conversations with the pupils, they have cited that they enjoyed what they are doing and playing as they have the freedom to choose what they want to play and create new games too.
